CLAAS Tractor goes to Scandinavia

A new range of modern tractors will enter the Scandinavian markets in October 2005. The introduction of CLAAS tractors in Scandinavia underlines the role of the CLAAS group as a strong, successful company, the leader in European agricultural technology.

Lothar Kriszun, Executive Vice President, Sales & Services, of the CLAAS Group: CLAAS develops and manufactures most of the important machines for agriculture itself. With the CLAAS tractor, all customers have access to a complete and integrated package of products that complement each other Complete Farming Systems.

As of October 1st 2005 the CLAAS import company, LMB Denmark A/S will launch tractors under the CLAAS brand and livery from the Le Mans and Harsewinkel factories in Denmark. The introduction dates of CLAAS tractors for Sweden and Norway will be announced at a later stage. Also in these countries the CLAAS tractors will be distributed by the LMB group based in Malmö, Sweden.

The complete palate of a modern and attractive CLAAS tractor range from 56 to 335 hp will be available. Product lines are NECTIS (V & O), CELTIS, ARES, ATLES and XERION. All After Sales functions for CLAAS machines are supported by CLAAS Service, recognised for its superior quality via the CLAAS parts centre in Hamm-Uentrop (Germany) and the LMB parts centre in Malmö for Scandinavia.

Today CLAAS tractors are sold across Europe including all main markets like France, Germany and Great Britain and in many Overseas markets.

Arne Sörensson, Managing Director of Lantmännens Maskin AB, Malmö,(LMB) underlines: CLAAS and LMB will work closely together to expand the existing professional dealer network selling and servicing CLAAS tractors as well as CLAAS harvesting equipment. In Denmark the distribution network will be supported by a CLAAS specialist sales and product support team in parallel to the harvesting machinery business.
